【摘要】:ThisTechnicalSpecificationincludestwomethodsforthedeterminationoffreeandreleasedformaldehydeinleathers.Onemethod(Section5)isrelativelysimplewithregardtothelaboratoryequipment(colourimetricmethod),whiletheother(Section4)needsmoresophisticatedequipment(HPLCmethod).Thesecondmethodisselectiveandnotsensitivetocolouredextracts.Theformaldehydecontentistakentobethequantityofformaldehydecontainedinawaterextractfromtheleather.Thetwoanalyticalmethodsshouldgivesimilartrendsbutnotnecessarilythesameabsoluteresult.
