【摘要】:TestMethodsE119andE1529,andotherstandardfireresistancetestmethodsspecifythatthroughoutexposurestofireandthehosestream,aconstantsuperimposedaxialloadbeappliedtoaload-bearingtestspecimentosimulateamaximumloadcondition.Theyspecifythatthissuperimposedloadshallbeasnearlyaspracticablethemaximumloadallowedbydesignundernationallyrecognizedstructuraldesigncriteria.Forthispractice,thenationallyrecognizedstructuraldesigncriteriaistheNationalDesignSpecificationforWoodConstruction(NDS).Alternatively,thestandardfireresistancetestmethodsshallbeconductedbyapplyinganaxialloadthatislessthanthemaximumallowableaxialloadasaddressedbytheNDSandthispractice,butthesetestsshallbeidentifiedinthetestreportasbeingconductedunderrestrictedloadconditions.Thesuperimposedaxialload,aswellasthesuperimposedaxialloadasapercentageofthemaximumallowableaxialdesignloadasaddressedbytheNDSandthispracticeshallbeincludedinthetestreport.Thispracticedescribesproceduresforcalculatingthesuperimposedaxialloadtobeappliedinstandardfireresistancetestsofwood-framewallassemblies.Statementsineitherthefireresistancetestmethodstandardorthenationallyrecognizedstructuraldesignstandardsupercedeanyproceduresdescribedbythispractice.TheNDSshallbeconsultedtoensurecalculationsareincompliancewithallapplicableprovisionsofthatdocument.1.1Thispracticecoversproceduresforcalculatingthesuperimposedaxialloadrequiredtobeappliedtoload-bearingwood-framewallsthroughoutstandardfire-resistanceandfireandhose-streamtests.1.2Thecalculationsdeterminethemaximumloadallowedbydesignforwood-framewallassembliesundernationallyrecognizedstructuraldesigncriteria.1.3Thispracticeisonlyapplicabletothosewood-frameassembliesforwhichthenationallyrecognizedstructuraldesigncriteriaistheNationalDesignSpecificationforWoodConstruction(NDS).1.4Thesystemofunitstobeusedisthatofthenationallyrecognizedstructuraldesigncriteria.FortheNDS,theunitsareinch-pound.1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
